COUNTERING THE CARICATURE:

The Birth of Scripture within Tradition

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2009
An Educational Presentation of
Saints Cyril & Methodius Orthodox Church
2505 South 30th Street, Milwaukee

What do you think or say when you hear about supposedly newfound Gospels?  Or ancient secret knowledge that the Church is supposed to have censored?  What do you say when Christians link the Second Coming of the Lord to the military hegemony of the state of Israel?  There are many ‘pop’ spiritual & theological trends abroad today.  We hear of many simplistic Biblical interpretations.  This short conference is an attempt to supply ordinary people with the information they need to respond confidently to  confusing assertions they may meet.
