Holy Trinity Icon Installed in Massachusetts Church

WORCESTER — Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the city’s Greendale section opened 15 years ago, but it was only recently that workers put the “finishing touch” to the facility.

Last week, a colorful 80-inch-by-60-inch icon of the Holy Trinity was hung above the façade’s entrance.

It was created by Dhimitri Cika, an inconographer from Albania. The Byzantine-style work, which cost about $8,000, was commissioned by the Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches, which represents Orthodox congregations in Central Massachusetts.

“This is just so beautiful, said Richard Mitchell, a council member.
